I strongly oppose a recall. Angelina represents district 2 well. She listens and makes thoughtful decisions. A recall is a waste of resources, driven by people outside of our district.
~ Cindy Henderson - Millbrae District 2 Resident
I oppose the recall because the Angelina Cahalan is doing a great job representing district 2. She is a resident of the district and she is raising her family here. She is a great listener, and has served Millbrae well. The recall appears to be driven by people outside of our community. Their claims about the Council woman are. It true. The recall is a waste of time and taxpayers money.
~ Steve Henderson - Millbrae District 2 Resident
I’ve seen Angelina in many regional events, forums and meetings. She has been a fierce advocate for Millbrae and its residents. Millbrae is fortunate to have a leader like Councilwoman Cahalan.
~ Sam Hindi, Foster City, City Council
The recall stands against democracy.

I want someone who actually makes me feel like my voice matters and Angie provides that for me!
~ Christine Salinas - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Angie es la voz en que confío.
~ Maria Esquejo - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Recall is without merit. People supporting the recall are using this as an excuse to discredit Councilwoman Cahalan. She has done a great job in the first year of her term bringing to City Council expertise, compassion and transparency, all elements that was sorely missing by previous Council Members.

I live in Angie's district and have lived here for almost11 years in Marina Vista neighborhood. Not one candidate in the 11 years lived on the East side of Millbrae and it showed. Before Angie added her name to the ballot, the East side was never represented. As soon as her name was added then all of a sudden, we started to get the weeds cut on a regular basis and the common areas were cleaned up. Before this it would be months and months between clean ups. If you know anything about Angelina, you know she spent 17 years working for St Anthony’s helping the unhoused. She cares deeply for that community and wants to help people. She is a good person, and I am very happy that I voted for her. I welcome anyone who is wondering about who Angie really is to reach out to her and find out. Ask her what she cares deeply about and find out about why she votes the way she does. She cares about the community that she lives in and wants to make sure that everyone (housed and unhoused) is treated kindly, fairly and with dignity and given a fair chance.
~ Michelle Ortiz - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Councilwoman Calahan is one of the most qualified Councilperson currently on Millbrae's City Council. The recall has no merit and it is an embarrassment to the City of Millbrae that a small disgruntled group of individuals are bent on forcing their political agenda on our community.
~ Dennis Wong - Millbrae Resident
Councilmember Angelina Cahalan was elected with great support against a long-standing incumbent and former mayor. Because she’d already been working to meet the needs of her district’s residents over many years, she knows how to represent the unheard voices of all districts. I’ve seen her work hard to learn the ropes, and make progress that provides us with valuable insights. Bayside Manor stands with Angelina!
~ Gina Miranda - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Angelina has always gone the extra mile to make sure that she is as informed with as many facts and perspectives as possible, and keeps the needs of her constituents at the forefront at all times. I am grateful and honored to have her representing District 2. She has been in this community for a long time and considers the long-term consequences for Millbrae, not just quick fixes. We are fortunate to have such a mindful and committed individual representing us on Millbrae’s City Council.
~ Naomi Funahashi - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Angelina is the best choice for our district. She has done and will be doing a great job. She held a wonderful learning session at the Chetcuti room on Saturday. She was well prepared with handouts and information, and she had an expertise and a way of handling herself, that is very necessary in the job that she will be doing for us. She has a background that fits surprisingly well into the job she will be doing for us. It saddens me to think that people who do not live in this district are attempting this recall besides the fact that it will be expensive and possibly create divisiveness within the city. I hope those who have signed this document to recall her will have done their homework, and not just acting out of anger and misinformation.
~ Donna Eghbal - Millbrae District 2 Resident
This is a vast waste of city funding. As it is already difficult to get things funded that we want to improve the city, the claims and arguments against Angelina are not congruent with how much hysteria is in this recall business. I very much support Angelina and her position, and I always have. In my opinion, I feel like the majority of this is distracting. There are other real issues on Angelina’s mind and she wants to address them with her role as Council member. She continues to work to her strengths and do her best for the short time she has served. Saying otherwise is blasphemy and doing injustice to her accomplishments and character overall.
~ Jordan Miranda - Millbrae District 2 Resident
Angelina is a thoughtful and compassionate leader who is leading Millbrae into a future that is safer and more welcoming for generations to come.
~ Noelia Corzo - San Mateo County Board of Supervisors
I believe that it is inappropriate to recall Council Member Cahalan solely on the basis of a policy disagreement. Unless there is corruption, fraud, or other illegal activity (which there is NOT in this case), Council Member Cahalan should be able to complete her term, and the recall is completely unwarranted.
